The Straw Hat Pirates have had many outfit changes throughout the different arcs in One Piece. During the Wano arc, the Straw Hats had two outfit changes; One while they were infiltrating Wano and gathering information, and another change once the raid on Onigashima began.

If you want to know which of the Straw Hat Crew personalities are more in line with yours, check out this article.

While the initial outfits were very fun, Japanese-inspired designs, the raid outfits are some of the most iconic outfits we have seen since the beginning of the series, and some we even wish had stayed after the arc ended. These are the Straw Hats Onigashima raid outfits, ranked.

Pros:

Cons:

Jimbei's outfit is probably the weakest of the new wardrobe. For one, it is very similar to his traditional outfit. While this is the case for some of the others as well, the design does not add anything aesthetically to the original design.

It is simply a yellow version of his normal robe, and while it doesn't look bad or anything, when everyone else gets some stylish new looks for the raid, Jimbei's pales in comparison.

Pros:

Cons:

Brook's new outfit is unique for sure. He is sporting a long coat, split down the middle with black on one side and white on the other, and a red scarf at his neck.

While this outfit looks good on Brook and fits with his aesthetic, it feels a bit lacking compared to the rest of the Straw Hats outfits. Namely, the ones that either improve on their normal looks or give some really neat-looking Japanese-inspired outfits.

Pros:

Cons:

We all love Robin, and she looks good in pretty much any outfit. Her Onigashima outfit has her sporting a white kimono with purple flowers, which is perfect for her.

It is also covered with a black coat with golden flowers over her shoulders, which tops it off nicely. While nothing too extravagant, it does a great job representing Robin's character in a traditional piece of Japanese attire.

Pros:

Cons:

Usopp has had quite the glow-up since the time skip, and his raid outfit is no exception. His Onigashima outfit is a sleeveless piece of black and red armor, with some loose yellow pants, which is simple but matches his normal attire.

The outfit allows Usopp to show off both his warrior spirit, as well as the muscles he worked tirelessly to attain. It is a decent outfit with the layout of his usual outfit, but with a bit of some Wano design flair to it.

Pros:

Cons:

Franky is kind of like the tank of the crew. And by tank, I don't mean the one that takes all the aggression. I mean a literal war machine, and his Onigashima outfit represents this, while also looking great.

Luffy has a crew packed with strong pirates, but how strong is each member? We explore their power levels in this article.

Although we don't see Franky in his Onigashima outfit much because he spends a lot of the battle inside General Franky, it is still a great outfit. It makes Franky look like a cyborg Japanese general, sporting a crescent moon helmet and two cannons on either shoulder. He also has additional accessories like the yellow dasuki around his waist.

Pros:

Cons:

Chopper's outfit takes Franky's semi-samurai motif and elevates it to 100%. Not only sporting a helmet, Chopper has the full samurai ensemble with armor and even a little katana on his hip.

Chopper looks cute in any outfit, but it is fun seeing him embrace the warrior aesthetic in order to support his comrades on the battlefield. It also matches well with the theming of the arc; beforehand, while they were undercover, he looked like a ninja. Now, ready to fight for Wano's freedom, he changes to the noble Samurai.

Pros:

Cons:

Nami's outfit is the perfect combination of elegant and battle-worthy. She is sporting a beautiful red dress with pink flowers, covered in a suit of light, yellow armor over the dress.

This outfit works well for Nami's character, giving her ample ability to move and use her clima-tact or do some sneaky thieving, while also providing decent protection, and allowing her to look alluring the way she likes to. This outfit turns Nami from the Cat Burgler to the Kitsune Burgler.

Pros:

Cons:

Zoro is already inspired a lot by Japanese culture, as all the straw hats are based on some nationality. Zoro typically wears a kimono and uses katanas, so he did not need anything besides a fresh coat of paint to blend in with the rest of the crew.

Here's where every crew member in One Piece came from.

In contrast to his usual green, Zoro here sports a pitch-black robe with gold accents, and it suits him perfectly. It matches well with his usual attitude and aesthetic, and when we get some of the big animation pop-off episodes, the colors match perfectly with the purple and green auras we see surrounding him, and his excessive use of Haki. This outfit truly fits the King of Hell.

Pros:

Cons:

What can we say? The man looks damn good in a suit. As opposed to his typical black, Sanji gets a striking maroon-red suit that contrasts well with his hair and general vibe. It also has a black dress shirt, white tie, and black gloves that tie the whole outfit together.

Not to mention, this arc is when we see Sanji's Ifrit Jambe, an upgraded version of Diable Jambe, and this turns his flames blue, which contrasts perfectly with his red suit. Frankly, Sanji has never looked better, except maybe his wedding suit in Whole Cake Island.

Pros:

Cons:

Luffy's Onigashima outfit is perfect, and we wish he could have kept this as his default outfit for the rest of the series. Many of the great pirate captains we've seen throughout the series, like Whitebeard, Blackbeard, and even the Admirals in the Marines, wear their coats in a specific style, over their shoulders with the sleeves empty.

While it doesn't have any specific Japanese-inspired elements, or do much to change his normal appearance, adding the coat makes all the difference, and makes Luffy feel like the Yonko-level captain he is by the end of the arc. Seeing the coat flowing behind him when he traverses the battlefield or goes Gear Four, is a joy(boy) to behold. It is the perfect example of one small change adding up to be worth more than many large changes if it is done right.
